Payments

You need to be between 18 – 65 years, earn a minimum of R5 000 a month and be a responsible credit user. Products purchased on our website are rented with a monthly Subscription / Instalment value that will be automatically recovered using your selected payment method monthly over a period of 24 to 36 months. All monthly subscription / rental fees are payable in advance, on or before the first day of each calendar month after the date of delivery, with all subsequent monthly subscription / rental fees being payable, in advance, on or before the first day of the following and subsequent calendar months. Available to South African citizens only. Subject to affordability checks.

Apon checkout, the subscription / rental agreement will be generated and will be signed electronically via IP address to conclude the purchase. This IP address of this contract serves as acceptance of the monthly subscription / rental debit order mandate.

Monthly Subscription Payments will only be deemed to be made if the payment is not returned. In the event a payment is not made, the account is paid late, and / or the Rent Smart Living account falls into arrears, the customer’s credit record may be impacted. Rent Smart Living also reserves its right to list the account with the South African Fraud Prevention Services (SAFPS).

Rent Smart Living has the right to cede this contract and any overdue amounts to a third party for collection and legal action.

Equipment remains property of Rent Smart Living until the Customer exercises their option to take ownership in terms the separate Ownership Agreement.
